Seemingly overnight my life changed forever...I went from being a happy, healthy, and vibrant person to one who was constantly exhausted, dizzy, weak, and sensitive to everything. When traditional medicine failed to provide the answers I so desperately sought I became my own advocate, researcher, and detective. Heal With Hope contains all of the philosophies, treatments and techniques that have had a positive impact on my ongoing healing. I share all I have learned with the hope you will find some new ideas and a bit of inspiration to guide your journey. - Andrea

Things To Try If You've "Tried It All..."

1. Toxic Exposure

Fatigue, dizziness, headaches, muscle aches, and weakness are just a few of the symptoms you may experience if your body is in "toxic overload." Though our bodies are designed to filter and elminate toxins, the sheer number and power of the chemicals and other toxins we are exposed to on a daily basis, are just more than some can handle. The body's natural filtration system becomes overwhelmed and you can develop Multiple Chemical Sensitivies, among other illnesses.

While some of the exposure is more obvious, such as the use of pesticides, you might be surprised to find that just about everything may contain harmful chemicals: perfumes, household cleaners, detergents, make-up, skin care, soap, shampoo, carpet, furniture, flooring, paint, drapes, pest control products, lawn fertilizers, new cars...you get the idea. For ideas and information for reducing your "toxic exposure" check out the various articles on Heal With Hope: Reduce Toxic Exposure. Also our Natural Health Resource List for less toxic product options.

2. Food Allergies & Sensitivities

The truth is we truly "are what we eat." Even if you eat healthy foods, continued exposure to those foods you are allergic or sensitive to, can eventually weaken your immune system, and can lead to chronic health problems. Sometimes the symptoms are more obvious, but other times they can be quite subtle. Accelerated heartbeat, indigestion, dizziness, bloating, gas, headache and fatigue are just a few of the symptoms you might experience. Keeping a food diary and using Muscle Testing can be helpful in identifying weakening foods. Learn more about Allergies & Sensitivities

3. C-1 Misalignment

I suffered with severe vertigo and dizziness for many years and was relieved to discover that an adjustment of my C-1 vertebrae provided relief from many of my symptoms. Fatigue, depression, headaches, even high blood pressure are just a few of the affects of a misaligned C-1. Learn more about "Atlas Subluxation Complex"

4. Dehydration

Many of us are just not drinking enough water. I've read statistics that as many as 75% of us are dehydrated, which can be responsible for many health ills: fatigue, dizziness, short term memory issues, false hunger signals, joint & back pain, even a slowing metabolism. So be sure to drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of pure water a day! Article of interest: filtered water.

5. Emotional Blocks

In the many years of research I've done on the hidden causes of illness, I have become a true believer that most illness has an emotional component. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a simple and very powerful tool for unlocking the emotional blocks that can cause physical and emotional health issues.

6. Are You An Empath?

Are you a very sensitive person? Do you find yourself taking on the energy and emotion of others? Do you feel things more deeply than most? If so you may be an empath. If you suspect you are, you will find this article by Dr. Judith Orloff of interest. She is a well known psychiatrist that has written books and articles on this topic.

7. Vitamin Deficiency

Even if you eat well you may be deficient in certain key vitamins & minerals that are key to good health. Three that I found particulary beneficial are: Magnesium, Vitamin D and Vitamin B12. If you are low on energy, a B12 supplement may be helpful (I personally prefer the liquid variety). Vitamin D is now recognized as a "super" supplement, vital to just about every function of the body & mind! I also find this in liquid form to be most effective for me. And Magensium, oh how I love magnesium. So many of us, particularly women, are deficient in magnesium. Without it your body can't function at optimum levels...it is good for the heart, nerves, and even helpful for keeping the bowels regular!!
